ONLINE RESERVATION

Do I need a reservation?
All members of public are welcomed to visit the exhibition and participate various activities. Admission is free.

To ensure a pleasant visiting experience and safety, online reservation is accepted and welcomed. You are invited to make your reservation via the "BOOK NOW" button ahead of time. Registrant will receive SMS confirmation after successful reservation. Those who have made reservation time slot of exhibition will have priority for admission.
Can I reserve more than one time slot?
Each mobile number can book one time slot only.
Can I bring an additional guest?
To secure the entry time slot, each guest is required to make an individual booking.
How to change or cancel the reservation?
Booking changes and cancellations can be managed online from URL of the confirmation SMS. No changes or cancellations will be allowed 24 hours before your last booking.

How do I go to the exhibition venue?
The exhibition is held at Hong Kong Maritime Museum, Central. The address is Central Pier 8, Hong Kong.

Tung Chung Line, Airport Express: Hong Kong Station Exit A2
(Walk towards the Central Ferry Pier via the footbridge on the IFC Mall 1/F for about 10 mins)

Get off at Central Ferry Pier, Central Pier 3 or Central Pier 5 station and walk for about 3 mins

Get off at Pedder Street Station, cross the pedestrian bridge, and walk towards the Central Ferry Pier for about 10 mins

Land at and depart from the Central Ferry Piers and walk towards Central Pier 8 for about 3 - 10 mins
What is the admission procedure upon entering the venue?
Please present your exhibition admission code via SMS at the entrance. Those who have made reservation time slot of exhibition will have priority for admission.
What if I have lost the confirmation SMS and QR code?
If you cannot find your confirmation SMS and QR code at the entrance, our receptionist will be able to assist you on site.
Can I enter if I arrive earlier or later than the reserved time?
Please arrive at the time of your selected time slot. Any early or late entry can only be accommodated based on on-site crowd control. We recommend changing your booking if you anticipate any changes in your arrival time.
Can I enter as many times as I want?
Free entry to the exhibition during exhibition opening period and hour. To ensure visitors having the best experience possible, please note that we give admission priority to those who have registered and might limited the number of guests that can be in the exhibition at one time.
Accessibility
The Hong Kong Maritime Museum has a number of barrier-free facilities, including lifts, accessible toilets, and all passages are flat and wide, so wheelchair users can easily get on and off.

AT THE EXHIBITION

What are the opening hours?
The exhibition is held from Saturday, 11 November to Sunday, 19 November 2023, 10:00 – 20:30. Last admission is 45 minutes before closing, and guests will be requested to leave the venue at 20:30.
Is this a child-friendly exhibition?
This exhibition is not recommended for children age three or below. Guardians are advised to stay with their children age 16 or below at all times.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in the venue (except guide dogs accompanying the visually impaired).
Are there lockers and cloakrooms available?
There are no lockers, cloakrooms nor storage facilities are provided. Please do not bring bulky items or luggage and take good care of your personal belongings.
Is photography allowed on site?
Photos and videos are welcomed.

Media activities in the exhibition require prior approval. Photography, videotaping and recording of any kind for broadcast or transmission for commercial purposes is forbidden without prior written permission.
Is there a lost and found?
Should you lose an item, please click here to contact us with your name, mobile, booking time slot, and lost item description.
What is the opening arrangement under unstable weather conditions?
Typhoon signal number 8 or above
If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, the exhibition will be cancelled, and remain closed if the signal is lowered less than two hours before the normal closing time.

Black rainstorm warning
If the warning is issued during opening hours, the exhibition will remain open. If the warning is issued before opening hours, the exhibition will be cancelled until the warning is cancelled. If the warning is cancelled less than two hours before the normal closing time, the exhibition will not re-open for the day.

VIRTUAL CYCLING CHALLENGE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Participants must have a minimum height of 163cm due to bicycle size requirements.
  2. Participants under 18 should have adult supervision and assistance during the event.
  3. It is recommended that participants wear suitable sportswear to avoid loose clothing getting caught in the gears.
  4. Participants must be physically fit for the virtual cycling event. If in doubt, please consult a doctor.
  5. Participants should be fully aware of the event's nature, physical demands, and their own health conditions before participating.
  6. Participants should monitor their physical condition during the event and seek assistance from on-site staff if they feel unwell.
  7. Access is subject to the safety rules and other conditions applicable. Guests who do not meet or pass the boarding requirements or any other applicable conditions might be rejected the participation.

WATCHMAKING WORKSHOP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The workshop is suitable for participants aged 16 or above (count by year of birth).
  2. All materials will be provided and it is not necessary to bring any specific materials with participants.
  3. All materials including parts of watch and tools in the workshop are for demonstration only and no take away is provided.
  4. The workshop will be conducted in Cantonese and English.
  5. You're welcome to take photos and/or video during the workshop. For the privacy of other participants, please don't video or photograph others without their permission.
  6. Access is subject to the safety rules and other conditions applicable. Guests who do not meet or pass the boarding requirements or any other applicable conditions might be rejected the participation.

VISITORS GUIDELINES

  1. For your safety, a security camera system has been installed inside the venue.
  2. Please do not touch, move or lean against the exhibits, installations, walls and facilities in the venue. In the event of any damage to the articles of the venue, the person concerned shall pay compensation at the price.
  3. To avoid accidents, please do not make excessive noise, run or play inside the exhibition hall.
  4. Please keep the venue clean. Spitting, littering and smoking are prohibited inside the Museum.
  5. Do not bring any offensive or potentially dangerous items into the venue.
  6. No open flames (candles etc.) should be lit under any circumstances in or around the Museum.
  7. We reserve the right to deny admission or require a person to leave the exhibition, without any compensation, for failing to comply with any of our instructions or engaging in unsafe, illegal, or unruly behaviour.
  8. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of the contents in this website or this app, the English version shall prevail.
  9. We reserve the right to amend any of the above terms without prior notice. In the event of any dispute, we reserve the right to make the final decision.
